During the winter, the whole family can have fun at the parc régional des Grandes-Coulées! With its 12 km of trails along the rivière Noire, you can enjoy a forest hike in the Forêt ancienne sector. Your canine companion can come along as well, given that dogs on leashes are always welcome.
A shelter is accessible in this sector just 2 km from the parking lot, ideal for getting in from the cold, warming up or just taking a break for a well-deserved meal. The indoor wood burning stove is especially appreciated by hikers during the winter months.
It is important to note that the trails of the parc régional des Grandes-Coulées are not maintained. Although wearing snowshoes is not mandatory, they are recommended after a significant snowfall. In general, walking in winter boots or with ice cleats are the best options for these trails.
