\n\t\t[vc_column_text]Access to the Parc r\u00e9gional des Grandes-Coul\u00e9es has been subject to a fee since December 2, 2024. To access the For\u00eat ancienne sector or the Grande tourbi\u00e8re de Villeroy sector, you must have a daily access pass or an annual pass. For further information, please consult our Rates and schedultes page<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t[vc_column_text]There are three options for paying for your entry fees :<\/p>\n

  1. Scan the QR code displayed at the park entrance to access the digital payment system.<\/li>\n
  2. Buy your ticket online now, by visiting the ticketing<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. Deposit your cash contribution in the self-checkout box located in the information kiosk at the park entrance.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    You can also reserve free tickets via toutlemondedehors.ca<\/a> (minimum 24-hour advance reservation).[\/vc_column_text]\t<\/div>\n<\/div>

    Trails and activities<\/h3>\n

    \n \n\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t<\/span>\n\t<\/span>\n\tHow many kilometres of trails are there in the park?<\/span>\n<\/h5>\n
    \n\t
    \n\t\t[vc_column_text]For\u00eat ancienne<\/em> has a total of 12 km of trails. The Grand tourbi\u00e8re<\/em> offers 3 km of trails and culminates in a 1.2 km boardwalk laid directly on a bog.[\/vc_column_text]\t<\/div>\n<\/div>
    \n \n\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t<\/span>\n\t<\/span>\n\tWhat is the park\u2019s schedule? Is it open all year round?<\/span>\n<\/h5>\n

    When there is a trail closure, the \u201cTrail Conditions<\/a>\u201d are quickly updated.<\/p>\n

    (For\u00eat ancienne<\/em> sector) Please note that a temporary closure of approximately one month takes place each spring during the thaw period, when the water level rises. This closure allows for the preservation of the trails. In addition, the access road to the parking lot usually becomes impassable.<\/p>\n

    The Grande tourbi\u00e8re de Villeroy<\/em> sector is open May through November (closed due to construction work)<\/strong>.[\/vc_column_text]\t<\/div>\n<\/div>

    \n \n\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t<\/span>\n\t<\/span>\n\tAre the trails accessible for strollers?<\/span>\n<\/h5>\n
    \n\t
    \n\t\t[vc_column_text]Yes, the trails are accessible all year round with a large wheeled pushchair due to the fairly flat gradient and the configuration of the trails. In winter, the use of a sled may be recommended.[\/vc_column_text]\t<\/div>\n<\/div>
    \n \n\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t<\/span>\n\t<\/span>\n\tDo the hiking trails start from the administrative centre (reception office)?<\/span>\n<\/h5>\n

    \n\t\t[vc_column_text]No. The administrative centre is located less than 10 km from the For\u00eat ancienne<\/em> and 30 km from the Grande tourbi\u00e8re Villeroy<\/em>. Our staff is available by phone<\/a>, e-mail<\/a> or Messenger<\/a> to give you information on our sectors or to book accommodation. Alternatively, you can access the trails by going directly to the two park sectors.[\/vc_column_text]\t<\/div>\n<\/div>
    \n \n\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t<\/span>\n\t<\/span>\n\tAre bicycles allowed on the trails?<\/span>\n<\/h5>\n

    \n\t\t[vc_column_text]Yes, bicycles are allowed on the trails. As these are shared trails, we ask that this be done in a safe and cordial manner with hikers. Hikers have priority on the trails.[\/vc_column_text]\t<\/div>\n<\/div>
    \n \n\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t<\/span>\n\t<\/span>\n\tAre dogs welcome?<\/span>\n<\/h5>\n

    \n\t\t[vc_column_text]Dogs are welcome in the For\u00eat ancienne<\/em>, provided they are kept on a leash at all times to avoid interfering with other visitors or wildlife. In addition, you are responsible for picking up after of your pet.<\/p>\n

    Dogs are not permitted in the Grande tourbi\u00e8re de Villeroy sector<\/em>. We invite you to consult the “Animals<\/a>” section for more information.[\/vc_column_text]\t<\/div>\n<\/div>

    \n \n\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t<\/span>\n\t<\/span>\n\tHow doe access to the fishing pools work?<\/span>\n<\/h5>\n

    \n\t\t[vc_column_text]A fishing permit is required. A limit of 5 fish per permit is allowed. The park stocks the Rivi\u00e8re Noire three times during the months of May and June.[\/vc_column_text]\t<\/div>\n<\/div>
    \n \n\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t<\/span>\n\t<\/span>\n\tAre snowshoes mandatory in winter?<\/span>\n<\/h5>\n

    \n\t\t[vc_column_text]No, snowshoes are not mandatory. However, they are usually a good idea following a significant snowfall. In general, the trails are very easy to walk in winter boots or with crampons.[\/vc_column_text]\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>[vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

    Accomodations<\/h3>\n

    \n\t\t[vc_column_text]Open at all times according to the park\u2019s schedule. The refuge is accessible to everyone during the day and is reserved exclusively for clients with reservations<\/a> from 4 p.m. to 9 a.m.[\/vc_column_text]\t<\/div>\n<\/div>
    \n \n\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t<\/span>\n\t<\/span>\n\tIs the refuge accessible by car?<\/span>\n<\/h5>\n

    \n\t\t[vc_column_text]No. The refuge is located about 2 km from the parking lot. If you rent the refuge for an overnight stay, you must plan to transport your luggage using the hiking trails. In winter, we suggest you use a sled.[\/vc_column_text]\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>[vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

In the For\u00eat Ancienne<\/em> sector, you’ll find a self-sustained welcome centre and a heated sanitary building with 4 ecological toilets, including 1 toilet accessible to people with reduced mobility, with a changing table. Dry toilets are available near the accommodation sites.<\/p>\n
